Mediterraneo is a brand offering quality foods including olive products, antipasto spreads, pâtés, vinegars and so much more. The emphasis is on maximum flavour and premium quality. We spoke with owners Paul and Amelia Rogers to learn about their range.

FFW: Who is behind Mediterraneo?

MEDITERRANEO: Owners, Paul and Amelia Rogers and Manager, Mia Sherwood-King.

FFW: What led you to establish your business?

MEDITERRANEO: An interest in the Mediterranean diet and European foods.

FFW: How would you summarise your range of products?

MEDITERRANEO: Mainly produced by small or family owned businesses, with all-natural ingredients and great tasting, top quality products.

FFW: What makes your products different from others in the marketplace?

MEDITERRANEO: As above, also our range has been carefully chosen not to compete with but to complement those already in the marketplace and to add a European twist.

FFW: Is there a set of criteria that all your products must have?

MEDITERRANEO: Everything must be preservative free, additive free and contain no artificial colours.

FFW: Are your products for home cooks as well as professionals?

MEDITERRANEO: Our products have been used in restaurants, but they are generally purchased as gifts or for use by home cooks.

FFW: Does Mediterraneo have AsureQuality certification?

MEDITERRANEO: Yes.

FFW: Are all your products premium, high end and gourmet or are some great to keep on hand for everyday use?

MEDITERRANEO: Our products are top quality and many are perfect for gift giving or for use in gift hampers, however our entire range is just as perfect for use every day in the home kitchen.

FFW: Do you think TV cooking shows inspire home cooks to seek out products such as those in the Mediterraneo range?

MEDITERRANEO: Yes definitely, TV cooking shows and food magazine recipes, particularly if there is a product similar to one of ours that is currently popular.

FFW: How does Mediterraneo look after customers?

MEDITERRANEO: We offer a same day response, prompt delivery and an excellent follow up service.

FFW: What kinds of retailers are stocking your range?

MEDITERRANEO: High end food retailers, delicatessens, cafes, organic stores, department stores, gourmet markets, supermarkets.

FFW: Do you offer any serving suggestions, recipes or interesting and unique ways to consume the products?

MEDITERRANEO: Yes, on our website we have inspiring and tasty recipes for most of our range as well as interesting product information.

FFW: As a passionate supplier of quality foods from Italy, Greece, France and Australia, do you continue searching for brands from other countries as well?

MEDITERRANEO: We are always looking for new products to expand our range within the countries we currently deal with.

FFW: What do you most love about your business?

MEDITERRANEO: Knowing that we offer excellent quality products that our customers love and return to again and again.  Also visiting food fairs and sampling all the great new products!
