Filo Pastry

Filo Pastry, which means "leaf" in Greek, is tissue-thin sheets of dough that have very little fat, making it a healthy food option. Filo-based pastries are made by layering many sheets of filo brushed with olive oil or butter; the pastry is then baked. It has a neutral flavour making it suitable for both savoury and sweet options; a typical savoury pie Spanakopita or as a sweet, Baklava. This is a “very pliable & easy to use” pastry. The Filo product is packaged in both 750g as a catering pack and 375g as retail packs.

Kataifi Pastry

Kataifi pastry is a thread-like pastry likened to vermicelli. Kataifi is not as well-known as Filo pastry but is also very versatile and suitable for all sorts of dishes from a pie to wrapping a Tiger Prawn. This product is available direct or through an number of distributors throughout N.Z.  Kataifi and Filo pastry can also be found in many Middle Eastern stores.

Filled Filo Parcels

Timos Filo Parcels are hand crafted from New Zealand sourced premium ingredients. Available in two sizes and a range of flavours for both the foodservice and retail markets. Simply remove from the freezer, bake off as per instructions, and serve.

Retail contains two x 150g parcels per packet. Foodservice: Available in 110g and 150g sizes.

Flavours: Spinach & Feta; Chicken & Mushroom; Chicken, Basil & Sundried Tomato; Apple Strudel; Apple & Blueberry.

Filled Pie Pots

Timos Filled Pie Pots made from New Zealand sourced premium ingredients.  They come in a range of tasty flavours and packed full of filling.  Remove from the freezer, heat to instructions and eat.

Each retail packet comes in a two pack and the Foodservice has a tray of 16 Pie Pots.

Flavours: Vegetable Quiche; Ham & Tomato Quiche; Chicken & Mushroom; Chicken Basil & Sundried Tomato; Chunky Hungarian Beef.
