Hazelz New Zealand

Hazelz New Zealand produces a fine range of wholesale hazelnut products for retailers, foodservice businesses and food manufacturers.

All products are available in bulk bags and containers and roasting levels can be altered to suit specific needs. The nuts are grown by a co-operative of New Zealand hazelnut farmers and then processed in Aylesbury. Only the finest ingredients are used in their blended products including local Canterbury honey and quality spices and chocolate.

The Hazelz New Zealand factory is NZFSA approved and quality control goes right back to the orchard where screening results in only clean, current season nuts being sent for processing.

Dry Roasted Whole Hazelnuts

Cracked as whole nuts, lightly roasted and with pellicle removed, these premium hazelnuts are ideal for chocolate making or enjoying straight from the pack. Available in 100g, 200g and 500g.

Raw Hazelnuts

Freshly cracked and full of healthy mono and polyunsaturated fats, vitamins A, E and B12, they add crunch and flavour to any good breakfast cereal as well as biscuits, breads and other baked goodies. Available in 100g, 200g and 500g.

Raw Hazelnut Pieces

Perfect for baking, these hazelnuts range in size from chipped whole nuts through to halves and smaller pieces. Available in 500g bags.

Ground Hazelnut, Raw and Roasted

Suitable for baking or adding as a topping for desserts, cakes and breads. Available in 200g Raw or Roasted, and 500g Raw or Roasted.

In-Shell Table Hazelnuts

Use as an attractive display in a bowl on the dining table until it’s time to crack them open and consume. Only the latest season fresh hazelnuts. Available in 500g netlon bags and 1kg bulk quantities.

Sliced Baking Grade Hazelnuts

Add to baking recipes, desserts or homemade muesli. Available by the 100g or 500g bag.

Cold Pressed Canterbury Hazelnut Oil

The finest South Island hazelnuts are cold pressed in-house at the Hazelnut Co. The oil is extracted, bottled and gas flushed to ensure quality and long life. Hazelnut oil boasts a high smoke point and can be used as a marinade or in salad dressings, to sautee, brushed over roasted vegies, for baking, dipping or in dukkah. Can also be used as a massage oil. Available in 100ml and 250ml bottles.

Hazelnut Flour and Meal

Gluten free making it ideal for recipes for coeliacs. Use it in breads, muffins and cakes, to thicken pasta, soup and gravy and to give an extra nutty flavour to meringues, pavlova, muesli and ice cream. Add to crumb mixtures for fish and schnitzel.

Hazelnut Paste

A fabulous spread for sandwiches, on toast or on crackers. Contains fresh raw New Zealand hazelnuts milled to a paste. Serve on a cheese board, stir through pasta or use as a base of fruit desserts and tarts. Available in 190g jar.

Roasted Hazelnut Butter

Enjoy the extra flavour and goodness of healthy roasted hazelnuts. Spread on toast or on crusty bread before adding fillings. Blend into ice cream or yoghurt or add to a biscuit mix. Use instead of peanuts for a delicious twist on satay sauce. Available in 190g jar.

Honey Hazelnut Paste

Fresh raw New Zealand hazelnuts are milled to a paste and sweetened with Canterbury’s finest honey. Blend into yoghurt or ice cream, enjoy with cheese or on toast. Also excellent as a tasty marinade. Available in 200g jar.

Hazelnut Dukkah/Seasoning

Roasted hazelnuts blended to perfection with coriander, cumin, sesame seeds, salt and pepper. Use as a dip with hazelnut oil or as a seasoning on fish or chicken. Stir through casseroles, pastas, soups and salad dressings. Available in 35g pack or 100g jar.

Chocolate Coated Roast Hazelnuts

Gorgeous premium fresh roasted New Zealand hazelnuts lovingly rolled in ‘She Chocolat’ dark dairy free chocolate and dusted in cocoa powder. Vegan. Available in 100g or 500g.
